Job Details

Seeking a Snowflake DBA, must have at least 5-7 years of recent DBA experience and at least 3-4 of years of heavy Snowflake.
Description
Joining the Platform Engineering team within the EDO, this person will be apart of helping best optimize the Snowflake Platform as they scale its usage across the bank and prepare for the integration. This person will need to help drive best practices of Configuration, optimization, and observability as they scale the platform across the enterprise. This person will be a go to on a platform team and helping lead some of the most important work as acquisition work begins.

Local to Cincinnati and ability to go hybrid onsite. Performance & Optimization
Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and workloads to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost management.
Monitor and tune Snowflake compute resources (warehouses) for optimal performance.
Implement best practices for data modeling, partitioning, clustering, and indexing.
Security & Governance
Manage user roles, access controls, and data masking policies to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to enforce data governance policies.
Audit and monitor data access and usage patterns to detect anomalies and ensure data protection.
Database Hygiene & Maintenance
Maintain clean and organized schemas, tables, and views across environments.
Implement automated routines for purging obsolete data, archiving, and metadata management.
Ensure consistency and reliability of data pipelines and integrations with Snowflake.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
