General Summary:
As a CPU Performance Analysis Engineer, you will be working on CPU performance analysis characterization and conducting competitive analysis using industry standard benchmarks and workloads. Your responsibilities lie in adding value and understanding on our internal platforms and optimize workload performance across the software stack from instruction sequences down to hardware microarchitectural behaviour.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in one or more system architecture technology areas and products (e.g., Power System, Shared Resource Management, Limits/Thermal Management, Hardware Islands).

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$111,200.00 - $166,800.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. Preferred qualifications
- MS degree in Computer Science / Computer Eng with 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with hardware performance counter and binary instrumentation tools
- Experience with characterizing industry standard benchmarks (CPU2017, Geekbench, SpecJBB, AnTuTu).
- Experience in Linux kernel internals / system programming
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape, feature specifications and industry trends in the server and client domain
- Workload instruction trace flow and modelling
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deploy and validate internal workloads on our hardware and understand performance behaviour from a complete stack perspective.
- Debug, raise, and solve identifiable issues through collaboration within the team and other teams.
- Generate reliable and verified sensitivity data across our platforms to facilitate and support business needs.
- Communicate and present your results and insights in a concise and clear manner.
