This Product Owner would be responsible for guiding the development and delivery of healthcare technology products that support Medicaid programs. This role ensures that features and functionality align with regulatory requirements, client goals, and user needs. As the primary bridge between stakeholders and the development team, the Product Owner defines the product vision, manages the backlog, and leads execution through the Agile lifecycle. This position places a strong emphasis on reporting, analytics, and workflow optimization. Candidates should have experience with tools like Power BI, SSRS, and workflow automation platforms such as Appian, along with a solid understanding of Medicaid operations-particularly in areas such as claims, encounters, eligibility, or financial reconciliation.

The pay range for this position is $86,800.00 - $124,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Your role in our mission
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that supports Medicaid policy, operational efficiency, and client priorities.
- Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into actionable user stories and features with clear acceptance criteria.
- Continuously groom the backlog based on changing needs, emerging priorities, and iterative feedback.
- Develop and maintain Product Roadmaps aligned with other related and critical Product areas - working closely with Product Managers and other Product Owners.
- Focusing and leading the future strategy and needs of the solution area this individual would be responsible for.
- Act as a liaison between internal development teams and external stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of priorities and goals.
- Participate in Agile practices such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to guide delivery and maximize team output.
- Design and maintain operational dashboards and performance reports using tools such as Power BI and SSRS to support client reporting and decision making.
- Leverage business process automation tools such as Appian to increase transparency, compliance tracking, and workflow efficiency across key Medicaid activities.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager, preferably in the Medicaid or broader public health sector
- Solid understanding of Medicaid programs, policies, and business processes such as eligibility, claims, encounters, prior authorization, or provider management
- Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
- Proficient in backlog management, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, SSRS, and workflow automation platforms (e.g., Appian)
- Excellent organizational, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills
What you should expect in this role
- Primarily remote occasional travel may be required
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation
