Compensation: $52.00 - $86.00 per hour | W2 only, no C2C
What you ll do as the Engineer:
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable web applications and backend services supporting financial transactions.
- Participate in team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning, to align on priorities and deliverables.
- Own feature development end-to-end from testing through production deployment ensuring high-quality, supportable code.
- Partner across teams to modernize legacy applications while maintaining strict financial controls.
- Support and enhance existing integrations to stabilize production and maintain reliable financial reporting.
What you ll bring to the Engineer role:
- Proficiency in Java and backend development, with experience building scalable, testable applications.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kafka for data streaming and Postgres for database solutions; Cassandra experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with front-end development using React.
- Experience with modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, Kotlin, or Groovy.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical best practices and business needs.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset and eagerness to take ownership of features and deliver results.
