Job Title - Business Development Manager Automotive Industry
Place of Performance - Detroit, MI
Period of Performance - Full-time

Key Responsibility:

  • Overall 15 years of successful career in sales hunter role, with focus on automotive engineering services.
  • Acquire new customers in the US automotive OEMs and Tier-1 industry. Identify and pursue new-targeted customers and win those by owning the sales cycle and taking it to closure.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Engage automotive customers in electronics product engineering and software engineering discussions to understand their needs.
  • Engage with customer executives and influence Engineering R&D and Industry 4.0 strategy
  • Work closely with the client's internal engineering and solutions teams to build customer pitch and proposals.
  • Engaging clients at various levels (including C-Level) to build strong and long-lasting relationships
  • Compensation structure will be a combination of base and incentive based pay. Incentives to be paid out quarterly based on sales performance.
  • Should be able to work with and manage multiple stakeholders internal and external.

Must have Experience:

  • Overall of 15 years of proven success in sales Hunter role, with focusing on automotive engineering services within themanufacturing industry.
  • Education: Graduate in Engineering/Master of Science in Engineering OR MBA preferred
  • Sales Hunter Experience: Managing a large account(s) of size $10-$15M revenue engagements, Account Planning, Customer Success, Solution Selling
  • Individual Utilization of 30% across multiple accounts
  • Engaging clients at various levels (including C-Level) to build strong and long-lasting relationships
  • Compensation will be mix of base and incentive results pay (to be paid out quarterly).
  • Significant proven large deal experience, including winning and delivery oversight
  • Should be able to work with and manage multiple stakeholders internal and external.

Other Skills:

  • Customer orientated thinking, possessing a strong business acumen
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; with the ability to structure and facilitate workshops and develop business cases for large deals.
