MetaPhase is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer to join our delivery team supporting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) under the ITSSS-2 contract . This position will contribute to secure, high-availability applications that support critical law enforcement and national security missions. You'll develop cloud-native applications, modernize legacy platforms, and implement advanced automation across FBI systems leveraging AWS, .NET, and React/Angular.

MetaPhase is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer to join our delivery team supporting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) under the ITSSS-2 contract . This position will contribute to secure, high-availability applications that support critical law enforcement and national security missions. You'll develop cloud-native applications, modernize legacy platforms, and implement advanced automation across FBI systems leveraging AWS, .NET, and React/Angular.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Design and develop secure web applications using .NET Core and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js or Angular)
- Build and optimize REST APIs , microservices, and user-facing interfaces deployed in AWS GovCloud
- Lead implementation of CI/CD pipelines and support DevSecOps automation across application development lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with FBI and FedRAMP security standards, Section 508 accessibility, and zero-trust architecture principles
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives) and collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, infrastructure, security, QA)
- Conduct peer code reviews, implement automated testing, and mentor junior developers
- Troubleshoot production issues and support end-users during UAT and deployment
- Interface with FBI stakeholders to interpret and implement user stories aligned to mission-critical capabilities
What We Need From You (Required):
- Current active Top-Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility. U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- 5 + years of experience in full-stack software development
- Proficient in C#/.NET Core , JavaScript , HTML5/CSS3 , and front-end libraries (e.g., React, Angular)
- Experience deploying apps to AWS (including EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch)
- Familiar with DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Terraform or CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery , test-driven development , and secure coding practices
- Knowledge of Section 508, OWASP Top 10, and NIST security standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, mission-focused mindset
Bonus Points (Desired):
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Solutions Architect)
- Experience working on FBI, DOJ, or law enforcement IT systems
- Familiarity with zero-trust network architecture and endpoint compliance tooling
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and container orchestration in secure environments
Work Setup & Clearance:
- Washington, DC
- Clearance: Position requires a current, active Top-Secret clearance with the capability to obtain an (SCI) as requested by the government. U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Travel:
- Occasional travel to Winchester, VA as needed
Compensation:
- Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 110k-150k.
