Job Title: Junior Access Platform Developer Support(Database & Application Developer)

Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Database & Application Developer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role demands a professional with a strong command of Microsoft Access, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and SQL Server technologies. The successful candidate will be entrusted with end-to-end development, meticulous maintenance, and expert troubleshooting of critical business applications and their underlying databases. A core responsibility will be to ensure the utmost data integrity, seamless system functionality, and superior user satisfaction, all while adeptly translating complex business requirements into precise, effective, and scalable technical solutions within a structured and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Access Database Management & Architecture: Lead the comprehensive design, development, enhancement, and rigorous maintenance of sophisticated databases built upon the Microsoft Access platform. This includes expert-level creation and modification of intricate tables, intuitive forms, analytical reports, complex queries, and automated macros to precisely align with and anticipate evolving business requirements.
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Development & Automation: Architect, write, meticulously debug, and rigorously optimize robust Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code. This will serve to automate intricate business processes, significantly enhance core application functionality, and facilitate seamless integration across various components within Microsoft Access and potentially other Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Transact-SQL Scripting & SQL Server Management Expertise: Leverage SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) with advanced proficiency to develop, execute, and meticulously troubleshoot highly complex Transact-SQL (T-SQL) scripts. These scripts will be critical for sophisticated data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations, advanced reporting, and comprehensive database administration tasks within enterprise-level SQL Server environments.
- Data Integrity, Quality Assurance, & Performance Optimization: Implement rigorous strategies to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and optimal performance of critical business data across all integrated systems. Proactively identify, diagnose, and swiftly resolve complex data anomalies, and continuously optimize database queries, schemas, and structures for maximum efficiency and scalability.
- End-User Support, Training, & Documentation: Provide expert-level technical support and proactive guidance to end-users, meticulously troubleshooting complex application issues. Develop and deliver clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation, alongside effective training materials, to empower users and maximize application adoption.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Requirements Engineering: Engage in close, collaborative partnerships with diverse business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to thoroughly understand, analyze, and document their intricate data and application needs. Translate these requirements into precise technical specifications, detailed functional designs, and actionable development plans.
- Comprehensive Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create and maintain exhaustive technical documentation for all existing and newly developed applications, intricate database schemas, and all associated T-SQL scripts. Facilitate effective knowledge transfer within the team to ensure long-term maintainability and operational continuity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive professional experience in comprehensive use, expert development, rigorous maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of databases created with the Microsoft Access platform, demonstrating a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive professional experience in writing, meticulously debugging, and maintaining high-quality code, specifically within the context of automating and enhancing Microsoft applications.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive professional experience utilizing SQL Server for developing, executing, and expertly trouble shooting, including advanced queries, stored procedures, functions, and database triggers.
- Solid and demonstrable understanding of relational database concepts, advanced data modeling principles, and database design best practices.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and develop highly effective and robust data management solutions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a high-performing team, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with integrating Microsoft Access applications with other Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with or experience in utilizing reporting tools.
- Understanding of fundamental network principles as they relate to client-server database connectivity and security.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent extensive practical experience.
