Principal Data Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Principal Data Systems Analyst in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities:
* Analyze technical and functional requirements to determine optimal delivery approaches
* Provide innovative technical solutions for ongoing development and critical initiatives
* Understand all phases of testing, including unit, integration, acceptance, and production validation
* Create and maintain clear user documentation and status updates
* Offer high-level application support, diagnose problems, and assist on-call developers
* Support systems analysis within Agile teams involving cross-functional business and technology partners
* Coordinate with other Agile teams to manage dependencies and scope
* Define problem scope in terms of business/system requirements and processes
* Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and story maps with Agile teams
* Lead backlog refinement and translate complex needs into actionable user stories
* Evaluate existing system designs for functionality, performance, and maintainability
* Collaborate on cohesive solution strategies with Agile team members
* Assist in shaping the team's analysis strategy and support planning and prioritization
* Apply and maintain documentation standards and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
* 7+ years of experience in software application development with strong SQL skills
* Experience with PL/SQL, Java, Spring Framework, AWS, REST/SOAP APIs
* Background in production support and DevOps/CI/CD practices
* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
* Skilled in Agile methodologies and translating business needs into technical requirements
* Familiar with tools like Splunk, Datadog, SonarQube, Veracode
* Knowledge of REST, JSON, and API integration

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
