Job Overview

Client is seeking an experienced SAP Techno-Functional Consultant. This role will serve as a critical onsite resource supporting the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem, with a focus on Materials Management (MM) including SAP Flexible Workflow, Quality Management (QM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Production Planning (PP) modules. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP configuration, ABAP development, and RF (Radio Frequency) functionality, combined with a strong understanding of flexible workflows and GxP protocols in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

This position requires a seasoned professional with over 15 years of SAP experience, including at least 7 years within the pharmaceutical industry, and a proven track record of collaborating with business users to deliver robust, compliant, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide techno-functional support for SAP S/4HANA modules including Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Production Planning (PP).

Design, configure, customize and support SAP solutions to meet business requirements, leveraging flexible workflows to streamline processes.

Develop, maintain, and support ABAP programs to enhance system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support custom requirements.

Implement and optimize RF (Radio Frequency) functionality to support warehouse and manufacturing operations.

Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, provide training, and ensure seamless adoption of SAP processes.

Ensure compliance with GxP protocols and other regulatory standards applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Perform system testing, validation, and documentation in alignment with industry best practices and quality standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and functional issues in the SAP landscape.

Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Support system upgrades, enhancements, and integration with other enterprise systems as needed.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP S/4HANA advancements and recommend process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

15+ years of hands-on experience with SAP systems, with a focus on MM, EWM, QM, and PP modules.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA configuration and customization.

Extensive ABAP development experience, including coding, debugging, and performance optimization.

In-depth knowledge of RF functionality within SAP EWM and its application in warehouse operations.

Hands-on experience with SAP flexible workflows to automate for purchase requisition, purchase order, and invoice workflow.

Strong understanding of GxP protocols and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical environment.

Demonstrated ability to engage with business users, gather requirements, and provide end-user support.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Willingness to work onsite full-time at the Morrisville, NC manufacturing facility.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP S/4HANA certification in MM, EWM, QM, or PP modules.

Experience with integration of SAP modules with third-party systems in a manufacturing context.

Familiarity with additional SAP modules (e.g., QM, PM) or technologies (e.g., Fiori, CDS Views).

Prior experience in a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role based at our manufacturing facility in Morrisville, NC.

The consultant will work closely with production teams, warehouse staff, and IT personnel in a collaborative, regulated environment.
