Seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Rail Vehicle Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join a global provider of rail solutions in Oakland, CA.
Requirements:
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of engineering tasks from administrative to strategic.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure the assessment of the Rolling Stocks Design in order to achieve full integration with other sub-systems and components;
- Ensure the monitoring of the monitoring of Rail vehicle production and testing process in order to control key factors affecting interfaces and system performances
- Execute the Verification activities of Rail vehicle interface documents, according to the V&V Plan
- Participate to on site tests relevant to the vehicle Integration (e.g. advice to issue resolution)
- Contribute to the functional requirements fulfilment in Design and Testing phase and to the resolution of the interfaces among the sub-systems mainly involving vehicle providing detailed
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 3- 5 years' experience in onboard equipment installation and testing of Rail vehicles
- Knowledge in onboard equipment installation and testing, in particular in electrical wiring, functional scheme review and mechanical installation
- Ability to work in a complex project and team-work skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Equivalent Technical Background
Languages: English proficiency
NOTE:
- The salary range for this position is $112,000- $168,000. Final pay is determined by the candidate s experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
- In accordance with the DOT s FRA and FTA programs, the company substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.
