Duration: Contract / Fulltime

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Device Certification Engineer with strong expertise in 4G/5G device testing, certification, and debugging. The role involves collaborating with internal Comcast teams, major OEMs (Samsung, Google, Motorola), and operators (e.g., T-Mobile, AT&T) to ensure devices meet certification standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with test execution, protocol analysis, and certification workflows along with strong coordination and program management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead device certification activities, ensuring compliance with standards.

  • Collaborate with OEMs (Samsung, Motorola, Google, etc.), operators (T-Mobile, AT&T), and teams.

  • Develop test plans, execute test cases, capture results, and perform defect triage.

  • Perform issue debugging and log analysis using QXDM, ELT tools, and related utilities.

  • Utilize test equipment (Keysight, R&S, etc.) for certification and validation activities.

  • Interface with vendors/OEMs for defect reporting, resolution, and certification tracking.

  • Support program management tasks including test scheduling, reporting, and cross-team communication.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in device certification and testing.

  • Strong knowledge of 4G/5G UE/device-side protocols.

  • Expertise in test planning, test execution, and log analysis (QXDM, ELT).

  • Familiarity with certification processes for operators (e.g., T-Mobile, AT&T).

  • Hands-on experience with test equipment (Keysight, R&S, etc.).

  • Strong vendor-facing and cross-functional collaboration skills.
