We are seeking an experienced Oracle RAC / PL/SQL Data Analyst to support ongoing modernization efforts, implementing modular, scalable, and secure data solutions within a hybrid cloud environment. This is a long term contract in Austin, Texas. This position plays a critical role in optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and modernizing legacy systems as part of a large-scale transformation initiative.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across Oracle Database architecture, PL/SQL development, RAC configuration, and cloud-native data management, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and reliable data services.
<>Key Responsibilities</>
Analyze business objectives and data challenges, develop solutions, and conduct cost-benefit and feasibility studies.
Configure, administer, and optimize Oracle RAC environments for high availability and performance.
Develop and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL code, procedures, and scripts for data analysis and application integration.
Design and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support reporting and analytics.
Implement and support Oracle Data Guard and disaster recovery strategies.
Manage database backup, restore, and recovery operations using RMAN.
Support DevOps/CI-CD database deployment pipelines.
Collaborate with development and architecture teams to transform legacy data systems into scalable, cloud-aligned solutions.
Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, ML, and big data analytics in healthcare and public sector use cases.
<>Minimum Requirements</>
8+ years of experience in data architecture, modeling, and warehousing.
8+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration and performance tuning.
8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle RAC configuration and management.
Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL development and optimization.
Strong understanding of Oracle Data Guard, HA/DR, and backup/recovery using RMAN.
Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management and PaaS database services (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
Experience supporting DevOps environments and managing CI/CD pipelines for database updates.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Experience migrating on-premise data to cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and data governance practices.
Exposure to microservice-aligned schemas and containerized data solutions.
Familiarity with integrated eligibility systems or healthcare data environments.
<>Eligibility</>
Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite 2 days per week (hybrid schedule).
Must be able to work on a W2 basis (no C2C, 1099, or third-party vendors).
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.
