Job Title: Azure Solution Architect (Brampton, ON)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Solution Architect to lead cloud architecture initiatives for a major enterprise client in Brampton, ON. This role requires deep expertise in Azure Cloud, Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, network security, compliance, and security monitoring to drive secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions on Azure.
- Lead the architecture and deployment of Azure services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
- Define security best practices around IAM, encryption protocols, and network security within Azure.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Develop security monitoring strategies using Azure-native tools like Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and others.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and development teams to build robust cloud environments.
- Provide architectural governance across cloud projects and contribute to cloud strategy.
- Support vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and remediation efforts in the Azure environment.
- Create detailed design documents, technical specifications, and solution architectures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in Azure Cloud architecture roles.
- Strong experience in Azure IAM, RBAC, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Hands-on expertise with Azure network security (NSGs, ASGs, firewalls, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
- Proficiency in data protection and encryption methods (Azure Key Vault, encryption at rest/in transit).
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong skills in cloud security monitoring and incident management.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Azure Solutions Architect Certification (AZ-305) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments (Azure Arc, Azure Stack).
- Experience with multi-cloud security strategies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform alongside Azure).
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python).
- Experience designing business continuity and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.
