Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
+ 6 or more years of experience in the MEP industry
+ EIT certification required; PE license is a plus (or actively working toward licensure)
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills
+ Experience coordinating with other disciplines on projects
Preferred:
+ Proficiency with Revit
+ Interest in community-centered design
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with our clients to understand their needs, constraints, and criteria for success.
+ Develop design solutions, weighing the benefits and risks of various options, and helping the client choose a path forward.
+ Lead the project team in developing design documents (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc.)
+ Coordinate all design disciplines to ensure a comprehensive, code-compliant, and constructable design.
+ Manage the client's expectations throughout the design process.
+ Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to meet objectives and schedules.
+ Serve as the Owner's representative during construction (RFI response, Submittal review, Site inspections, etc.)
+ Provide mentorship to less experienced designers and engineers.
