Join us at the heart of Apple's security ecosystem! JMET develops custom server side security solutions which enable Apple to meet the security and privacy objectives for all products. Our services are responsible for establishing hardware root of trust, System and Module provisioning and certification, Secure Software Update, and Secure Repair initiatives to name a few. Every product that we manufacture, minus soft goods, interacts with one or more JMET services during its lifecycle. We are looking for a proficient Security Server Application Engineer to join a new project team and work on our next exciting initiative. The ideal candidate is a strong programmer with demonstrated track records working on mission-critical security systems. This role involves a blend of technical acumen and collaborative skills, as you'll work with a diverse set of cross functional teams. This role also requires the candidate to provide operational support and occasional travel when need arises.

In addition to solid technical skills, candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be self starters that are comfortable with the unknown and are capable of mentoring engineers and more junior security teammates.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant industry experience shipping critical deliverables
- Proficiency in C/C++, and Swift or other object-oriented languages
- Solid understanding in cryptographic primitives, such as PKI, ASN1, x.509, authentication protocols, key exchange protocols, and PQC algorithms
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track records in shipping mission-critical security components in C/C++ or Swift that runs on memory constrained environments
- Proven track records in leading large cross-functional teams in mission-critical initiatives
- Proven track records in designing, implementing, and supporting large scale security systems that are in production today
- Proven track records in presenting to senior leadership and executives, ability to read the room and represent project team appropriately
