About this Position
The IT Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the timely and secure deployment of patches and updates across the organization's IT infrastructure to maintain system security, stability, and compliance. This role involves strategic planning, technical execution, and collaboration with various teams to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and operate efficiently. This position will be responsible as well in the management of IT Infrastructure assets, encompassing hardware, firmware and Operational Systems running on them, leveraging Primerica Asset Management solutions to optimize value, control costs, manage risks, and ensure compliance and data integrity throughout the asset lifecycle.
Salary Range: $135K - $140K

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Process Definition and Improvement
- Develop and implement effective patch management strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., DoD STIGs, NIST frameworks), and organizational security policies.
- Develop and maintain clear, practical policies for IT Asset Management and ensure their effective implementation across the organization.
- Patch and Vulnerabilities Management
- Manage the end-to-end deployment of patches and updates for various systems (e.g., Windows, Linux servers, network devices), leveraging automation tools and scripting languages like Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to assess vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation efforts based on risk, and ensure all systems remain compliant with security and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the testing and validation of patches before and after deployment to ensure compatibility and prevent issues or disruptions.
- Resolve patch-related issues, including installation failures and system reboots, and coordinate resolution with relevant teams.
- Monitor patch deployments, generate comprehensive reports on compliance and status using tools like Ivanti, Qualys and SolarWinds, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams involved in patch management activities.
- Stay updated on emerging vulnerabilities, industry best practices, and new technologies to continually enhance the patch management program.
Asset Management
- Capture and maintain an authoritative inventory of all technology assets and manage their entire lifecycle from procurement and deployment to maintenance, upgrades, and disposal.
- Develop and maintain clear, practical policies for IT Asset Management and ensure their effective implementation across the organization.
- Utilize analytics, user feedback, and reporting tools to continuously enhance ITAM processes and deliver actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Work with finance and procurement teams to manage asset purchasing and budgeting efficiently and identify opportunities to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate technical activities and with the Infrastructure groups that execute the activities related to patch and vulnerabilities management and as well Asset Management, in order to be sure they are following the defined processes and best practices.
- Provides training, guidance or mentoring to team members; no formal supervisory responsibilities.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area.
- This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role.
- Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in in related field or Industry experience in infrastructure management
- 4 - 5 years of Experience in in infrastructure management
- IT professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and skill development.
- Experience in task delegation, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution within a team environment
- Deep understanding of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networks, servers, databases, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with various patch management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, WSUS, Ivanti Patch Management, or similar solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python) for automating patch deployment and system management tasks.
- Strong grasp of vulnerability management principles and methodologies, including prioritizing patches based on risk levels and impact.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to patching, software deployments, and system performance
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging the team to stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices
- Experience in creating and managing an inventory of hardware and software assets within the organization, including legacy systems.
- Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of process documentation, keeping procedures current and in line with evolving business needs and IT capabilities.
- Proven background in patch management and Asset Management
- ITL or Cybersecurity Certifications will be considered a plus
