Description

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Havertown, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will provide first-level technical assistance to staff, ensuring smooth operation of devices such as Apple laptops and Chromebooks. This position requires hands-on support, in-person visits, to promptly resolve hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities:

Deliver first-level technical support for staff, addressing device-related issues efficiently.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems with Apple laptops and Chromebooks used by staff

Provide desk-side support for walk-in concerns and respond to tech calls for assistance.

Maintain effective communication with users to understand and address their technical challenges.

Document and track reported issues to identify recurring problems and suggest improvements.

Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and enhance support processes.

Conduct basic maintenance and configuration of devices to ensure optimal performance.

Assist with onboarding new users by setting up devices and providing initial training.

Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to the educational environment.

Requirements

Assoicates degree or tech degree of related computer science major

1+ years of experience, internship or related skills

Proficiency in troubleshooting PC desktops, workstations, and related hardware.

Experience working with Chromebooks in an educational setting.

Solid understanding of Windows & Mac OS and its functionalities.
