Job Summary
The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Internet Technology (OIT) is seeking a highly skilled Access/SQL Database Developer to support and maintain an existing Microsoft Access based accounting application.
This role focuses on stabilizing, debugging, and documenting the current system while ensuring uninterrupted operations during a modernization transition.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve issues within the Microsoft Access front end and SQL Server back end.
Maintain and stabilize daily operational workflows within the existing application.
Debug VBA code, macros, queries, and modules for reliability and performance.
Document business logic, workflows, and database structures for future reference.
Collaborate with DHS business and IT stakeholders to validate fixes and improvements.
Follow established change management, testing, and release protocols.
Provide knowledge transfer to internal OIT staff.
Align maintenance work with ongoing modernization projects without directly participating in redesign efforts.
