Robert Half is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (.NET/WCF) to support an Education Public Sector - Technology Services organization based in Seattle, WA. This role involves backfill and ongoing senior-level support for mission-critical, legacy .NET systems (SAS & SSIRS) that are nearing end-of-life, requiring operational stability while planning for sunsetting and replacement. Job Details:

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational support for two internally built applications (SAS and SSIRS)
- Implement bug fixes and emergency enhancements with a focus on uptime stability
- Participate in code reviews, documentation updates, and Agile sprint meetings
- Partner with Analysts, DBAs, and business owners to clarify requirements
- Maintain source control (SVN), configure/deploy via TeamCity, and create SSRS reports
- Support annual school year setup, reporting, and related processes
- Contribute to RFP development and SAS sunsetting/migration planning
- Reverse engineer existing code and documentation to understand current system state

- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps exposure

- Works well under pressure in high-stakes, time-sensitive situations
