Job Details
Role: Technical Business Analyst
Location: NYC
Duration: FTE
We re looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in application analysis and implementation, preferably within the retail industry. This role bridges business needs and technical solutions, ensuring our application systems support operational goals effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to enterprise or custom applications.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure technical solutions meet business expectations.
- Support the full application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review.
- Facilitate application configuration, integration, and customization efforts.
- Analyze existing systems and recommend enhancements or modernization opportunities.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and training documentation.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and act as a liaison between users and technical teams.
- Participate in project planning, timelines, and scope management for application-related projects.
- Maintain documentation of systems, workflows, processes, and configurations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong technical orientation.
- Experience in or exposure to the retail sector (POS, inventory, e-commerce, CRM, etc.).
- Experience working with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, custom internal apps).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to create technical documentation (BRDs, FRDs, data flow diagrams, process maps).
- Proficient in using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, and SQL for data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
