JD:
Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation scripts and systems with robust error handling, observability, and fallback mechanisms.
  • Utilize LLMs for content parsing, classification, and iterative refinement using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Design long-term, scalable automation solutions that align with Reddit's broader ecosystem and support future classification efforts.
  • Debug complex systems at scale and efficiently navigate large codebases.
  • Conduct A/B testing and manage projects through effective task breakdown and estimation.
  • Communicate proactively and collaborate across teams to drive initiatives forward.
  • Work independently and demonstrate a strong ability to unblock progress without heavy oversight

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience (minimum 4 5 years in large enterprise settings acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Python and Go.
  • Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and integrating them into data workflows, including multi-round RAG.
  • Strong scripting skills and ability to write clear, testable, maintainable code.
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud).
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices: unit/integration/e2e testing, CI/CD, design documents, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and partnering with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience in the full development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities for system-level issues.
  • Organized, with strong prioritization and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in remote, cross-functional environments.
