Job Details

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the product owner and customer stakeholders to understand customer business needs and priorities.
  • Define and manage requirements, both functional and non-functional, as high-level epics, features, and user stories to support SAFe Agile methodology.
  • Define the system domain and develop system models using model-based engineering (UML and SysML).
  • Author models in an Enterprise Architect tool.
  • Support Agile scrum development teams.
  • Develop concept of operations (CONOPS) and high-level solution plans aligned with define Solution Epics.
  • Lead Decision Analysis Resolution (DAR), gap analysis, and trade study activities for system engineering-related areas.
  • Execute within SAFe Framework environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 2-5 years experience.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering activities for software projects with involvement in requirements management and technical design/development of software solutions.
  • Exposure to Agile development concepts and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance. An interim clearance may be acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience defining business domains, processes and use cases and developing a representation of the proposed solution using model-based engineering (UML and SysML).
  • Background in Agile Software Development, specifically experience in developing detailed user stories to include precise and descriptive acceptance criteria.
  • Experience using Agile and engineering tools that support Agile Software Development, such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Sparx EA.
  • Experience creating software development product backlogs, roadmaps, and release plans.
  • Experience with authoring of a CONOPS for the development of system architectures and requirements.
  • Experience modernizing enterprise software systems (web and mobile-based).
