Laboratory Technician

Division: Applied Materials

Position Summary:

• The Emergent Materials and Processes group is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support laboratory setup and routine experimental operations. This role is essential to advancing projects focused on scaling up critical materials production, including high-temperature processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory spaces by relocating equipment and installing infrastructure (ventilation, electrical power up to 480V, water supply).
• Operate experimental processes in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor experiments, record data, and assist with data analysis and technical reporting.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure operational readiness.
• Document experimental procedures and results accurately.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to meet project timelines and budget requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or technical field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an industrial or research laboratory setting.
• Experience working with a variety of materials and laboratory processes.
• Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Ability to assemble and connect mechanical, ventilation, and electrical systems (?480V).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and technical writing abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Physically capable of moving equipment and performing hands-on tasks.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
