Senior Solutions Architect / Must have Warehousing, Manufacturing or IoT Industry Experience

Job Description We're working with a multinational distributor that operates globally. They serve nearly 5 million customers by providing a wide range of material products, but also technical support and inventory management.

They are in need of a Senior Solutions Architect, that would be one of a kind. The role involves leading technical initiatives to enhance distribution center and yard operations in North America, collaborating with various teams and vendors to design and implement industrial technologies. This position focuses on optimizing warehouse and yard processes, including material handling, maintenance, and tracking, utilizing a range of technologies such as robots, autonomous vehicles, and control systems. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Architecture, the role serves as the primary subject matter expert for operational technologies. Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, documenting, and implementing warehouse or manufacturing automation and yard management technologies.
• Ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences, including top management.
• Strong teamwork skills in a collaborative organization.
• Expertise in integrating industrial technology with broader software ecosystems.
• Networking or (Cyber) Security background.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with AWS in terms of cloud software architecture
• Python coding experience
• SAP experience
• Local to the Chicago area
