Job Description:

TeamGOV Inc. is looking for a skilled Sr. Door Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for multiple tasks involving the takedown of used commercial doors and/or equipment, installation of new commercial doors, operators, equipment, and multiple service categories on doors, operators, and associated equipment. Evaluate appropriate commercial door and installation/service requirements for each job. Prior to the commencement of work, determine if appropriate tools and equipment are working and/or available.
  • Establish the needs of each job and document the full installation/service needed. Determine if added work needs to be performed and the measures needed to ensure approved installation of the product. Alterations, construction modifications, and obstructions must be noted before each job is to begin.
  • Documentation of the work to be performed is discussed with the Salesperson and/or Scheduling Supervisor for approval. Perform related minor work in framing, build-ins, and adjustments. Service and/or install commercial garage doors using appropriate tools, hardware, and equipment.
  • Perform commercial service/installation on a wide range of products, including hinges, operators, door sections, rolling steel, torsion springs, dock equipment, locks, etc. Care and maintenance of equipment and tools. Care and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Maintain appropriate parts inventory in the vehicle to ensure that items are available for service/installation work. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Three to six months of related service, installation or construction experience is preferred. Education A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
