Network + or CCNA preferred.
Project:
Planning Tech will provide support for the building and development of 14 new schools in the next 3 years. This position will design cabling standards throughout each new building and help upgrade some existing schools as well. It will also read blueprints and design the layout of IDFs / closets. It will work with and oversee GCs who will physically be doing the work. It will provide quality checks and audits.
Role:
The Planning Technician is responsible for performing field inspections, creating technical documentation for school technology construction projects, and ensuring that the contractors are providing the required product as contractually obligated. Additional duties include the performance of surveys of existing network infrastructure design and of deployed technologies. The Planning Technician is also responsible for providing current status updates to the Supervisor along with effective communication amongst team members. Stakeholder communications is a large portion of the successful completion of this role. This is more of an Inspector roll position.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
