Job Details

Job Title: UX Designer Location: Springfield, MA Duration: 6+ Months

  • Use design to help our customers secure their futures and protect the ones they love
  • Change how professionals connect with and serve their customers
  • Focus on elevating our design system in partnership with a multidisciplinary cohort of colleagues
  • Use iterative and collaborative design techniques to transform new concepts to digital products via storyboards, wireframes, and prototypesCreate high-fidelity final designs, developing effective documentation for varied audiences
  • Ensure proper implementation of the designs
  • Maintain, update and improve existing digital products, UX/UI, and brand
  • Reform how customers interact with financial solutions like life insurance and investments
  • Deliver and iterate on new, innovative, omnichannel experiences
  • Influence product lifecycle by imagining the future state
  • Partner with Agile squads using the latest frameworks
  • Partner with our team of user researchers and user interface designers
  • Collaborate with engineering and design team on MassMutual s Blueprint design system
  • Advocate for the use of fresh design tools and ethical design practices
    Skills: The Minimum Qualifications
  • Design is a passion.
  • 5+ years as a product designer, user experience designer, or similar role.
  • You are a great communicator who gets energized sharing ideas and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
  • You are well-versed in all things research and when to use each methodology.
  • You have a proven track record of working independently and taking ownership. You don t miss the details but are also happy to let your teammates figure out their work.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field

  • A data-driven decision maker who leans on research to advance their designs.
  • A talented verbal and visual communicator who becomes a trusted partner of product managers and business stakeholders.
  • Great at putting just enough detail into wireframes to garner great feedback.
    Interested in and adept at learning new technologies enough to understand trade-offs between development time and impact to the user experience.
  • A great collaborator who is well-versed in Agile methodologies and the role of design.
  • Well-versed in a variety of design problems, information architecture needs and common interface patterns.
  • Great at giving and receiving feedback, collaborating with and coaching other designers.
  • Attentive to detail with strong pattern recognition skills.
