Position: Certified CyberArk Security Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days On-site)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

• Client seeking a highly skilled and driven CyberArk Security Engineer with a strong background in Privileged Identity & Access Management (PAM) and cloud security.
• Will join a team responsible for developing and deploying large-scale identity security solutions impacting tens of thousands of users.
• Should bring hands-on CyberArk integration experience and a passion for building secure systems in cloud-first environments.
• Able to solution design, implementation, integration, and documentation of security technologies with a specific focus on CyberArk components.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and deploy secure PAM solutions using CyberArk CorePAS, CCP, and Conjur.
• Analyze existing systems to identify security gaps and define technical solutions for privileged access.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and security teams to integrate CyberArk solutions across the enterprise.
• Create documentation for architecture, configuration, and user training.
• Act as a technical lead and business analyst hybrid gathering requirements and translating them into implementation steps.
• Identify and resolve performance, integration, and compliance issues related to identity and access security.

Must Have Skills:

• 8 - 10 years of IT experience, with 3+ years of hands-on CyberArk implementation experience.
• At least 2+ years focused on Application Security or IAM.
• Strong experience with CyberArk CCP, CorePAS, and Conjur integrations.
• Proficient in analyzing and designing DLP policies.
• Solid understanding of information security best practices and access control frameworks.
• Technical versatility with the ability to learn and adopt new technologies rapidly.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Active Directory (AD) and ADFS integration.
• Strong PowerShell and Shell scripting experience for automation and maintenance.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure architecture, provisioning, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with server operations, cloud concepts, and infrastructure security models.
• Understanding of ITIL and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong documentation skills and ability to create training/user materials.
• Agile/Scrum experience is beneficial.

• CyberArk Defender (Must have)
• CyberArk Sentry, Guardian (Highly desired)
