Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Alarm Installation Technician to join our residential security team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining physical security devices such as alarm systems, motion detectors, door/window sensors, and surveillance cameras in residential properties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in low-voltage systems.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Alarm Installation Technician to join our residential security team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining physical security devices such as alarm systems, motion detectors, door/window sensors, and surveillance cameras in residential properties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure residential alarm systems and physical security devices.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
- Educate customers on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and inventory.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor on-site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in alarm or low-voltage system installation (residential preferred).
- Strong understanding of physical security devices and alarm system components.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Reliable personal vehicle required for daily travel to job sites (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in alarm systems or low-voltage electrical work.
- Experience with brands such as Honeywell, DSC, or Ring.
- Familiarity with smart home integration and mobile app-based systems.
