Job Details

ASRC Federal Data Networks, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking all levels of Cloud Architects and Engineers in anticipation of favorable award of a program that will modernize NOAA's IT Services. The National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), provides secure and timely access to global environmental data from satellites and other sources to promote and protect the Nation's security, environment, economy, and quality of life.

ASRC Federal requires subject matter experts to support the enhancement of existing NCCF capabilities, migration of legacy capabilities (data holdings, mission software applications, etc.), implementation of cloud equivalent capabilities (from legacy), and provide for infrastructure management utilizing DevOps and Agile methodologies.

ASRC Federal Data Networks will be supporting digital modernization efforts at the following NOAA Centers:

  • Silver Spring, MD | NOAA Headquarters
  • College Park, MD | NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Predication (NCWCP)
  • Boulder, CO | National Center for Environmental Information (NCEI)
  • Asheville, NC | National Center for Environmental Information (NCEI)
  • Suitland, MD | NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF)


Responsibilities

Requirements:
  • Junior (0-4 years) (mid 5-7 years) and senior ( 8 + years) of experience in Cloud Architecture and Engineering
  • BS/MS degree in technical field
