Job Description
WHAT WE'RE DOING
Our Development Environment & Infrastructure Solutions team is seeking a System Administrator skilled in Unix & Linux to support our classified software development infrastructure in Moorestown, NJ. This site is a key hub for our operations, and we need a professional who can ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and mission-ready.
THE WORK
You will configure and manage Unix/Linux operating systems, install/load OS software, and build Linux workstations and laptops using Red Hat Kickstart, Ansible, or similar tools.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting, maintaining system integrity, configuring network components, scripting, and providing user support.
- You'll help monitor and resolve issues within our classified development environment, support multiple program configurations, and occasionally manage infrastructure inventory and system disposition.
Please note:
This role is onsite full-time in Moorestown, NJ, with limited support in Mount Laurel and Camden.
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at the Top Secret level.

WHO YOU ARE
You're a self-starter who thrives independently but works well in a team.
You have:
2+ years of professional experience in Linux/Unix administration
Strong troubleshooting, scripting (shell, Python, Perl), and system imaging skills.
Experience with Red Hat Kickstart or similar provisioning systems.
Familiarity with DISA STIG requirements and Linux security policies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related STEM (or Master's with no experience).
Security+ certification.
Bonus points for experience with both Linux & Windows, AI, Cloud, or Data Analytics.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, I.T., or a related STEM field with 2+ years of related experience or Master's degree in a related field and no experience
Excellent technical skills in Linux administration, including experience with Unix and Linux operating systems, scripting, and troubleshooting
Experience with the administration and configuration of Security policies as related to Linux servers
Experience with implementing the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) security STIG requirements
Security+ certification
This position requires a DoD government clearance at the Secret level to start and the ability to obtain and Maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Desired skills
Familiarity with Red Hat Kickstart or similar imaging/provisioning systems
Experience with open source software installation and configuration
Ability to script on Unix-based systems (Unix/Linux shells, Python, Perl, etc.) or code in high-level languages
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users, team members, and management
A proven track record of being detail-oriented and able to process multiple tasks simultaneously

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
