Our client, a large government systems integrator located in Tampa, FL, is looking to hire a Top Secret SCI cleared Network Engineer for a 12 month onsite contract. The Network Engineer will work on overall network strategy and planning, designing and defining network architecture for new or existing computer systems.
The consultant will perform complex network development and design work as well as participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements. The consultant will also provide input for documentation on new or existing networks. The consultant will support the network operationally as well, identifying, analyzing, and resolving network problems. The consultant will determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of related Network Engineering experience
- Must possess and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance
- BA/BS degree- may substitute additional years of experience (9).
- Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
- Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges.
- Knowledge and experience with service provider routing and switching protocols (e.g. IS-IS, BGP, Service Provider bridging, MPLS).
- Knowledge and experience with enterprise routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, Port Aggregates, vPC etc.).
- Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS software and hardware features.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast (ASM, BiDir, Anycast).
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
Desired Skills:
- Completed Professional tier Juniper or Cisco Certification specialized in Enterprise or Service Provider routing and switching.
- Knowledge and experience with Juniper JUNOS software and hardware
- Knowledge of Automation technologies for networking (e.g. Python/Ansible)
- Knowledge and experience with service provider technologies (e.g. VPWS, VPLS, L3VPN, VXLAN)
- Knowledge and experience with data center networking (e.g. VXLAN, CLOS)
- Understanding of network virtualization concepts as it relates to the datacenter (e.g. presenting networks to hosts, edge trunks, interface mapping)
- Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices
- Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets.
