Job Details
looking for cloud security engineers, with experience across multiple CSPs. The majority of effort will likely be AWS, however, there will undoubtedly be work crossing into Google Cloud Platform and Azure. We deploy as much as possible through code, specifically with Terraform. A significant volume of effort will surround access/permissions and guardrails. Knowledge of our other existing platforms with be a plus. Work with the AppDev teams to ensure security guardrails are enforced. Assist in account/permission provisioning. Help document baseline configurations. Support data center to cloud application migration and transformation.
Position Overview: The main function of a Security engineer is to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure of information. A typical Security engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.
Responsibilities:
Train staff and users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency.
Review and approve plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
Provide direction on when to update virus protection systems.
Review and approve the implementation of computer system plans with establishment personnel and outside vendors.
Supervise risk assessments and approve the execution of tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
Approve the encryption of data transmissions and the building of firewalls to conceal confidential information.
Experience:
5+ years of Cloud Engineering with a focus on Security
Must have experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform, if not both. Must have experience with Terraform. Big plus for experience in Jira.
Cloud Transformation
Multi-cloud expertise; Terraform; Git Hub; Customer service skills
Good troubleshooting mindset; ability to dig into problems and find acceptable solutions and can share solutions with the broader team.
