Vega is hiring! A Salesforce Functional Business Analyst for our direct Parsippany based client. Seeking candidates that will travel onsite for meetings.
No 3rd party vendors or C2C candidates. Only w2 candidates.
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting, enhancing, and optimizing the systems that power Sales Operations, including CRM platforms, customer portals, and integrated tools across the sales technology stack. Seeking a BSA with Salesforce Cloud experience to support the day-to-day needs of business stakeholders and end users. Candidate will help identify opportunities for improvement, translate business needs into system enhancements, and ensure the tools we deliver are aligned with user expectations and company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Application & User Support:
Provide frontline support for Sales Operations systems, including Salesforce and other commercial tools. Investigate and resolve user-reported issues, coordinate with technical teams, and contribute to ongoing system stability and performance. - Business Process & System Analysis:
Evaluate current business processes and workflows to identify areas for system enhancement and process efficiency. Act as a connector between business stakeholders and system administrators or developers. - Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
Collect and analyze business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. Create documentation such as process flows, user stories, test cases, and training materials to support project and enhancement delivery. - System Testing & Quality Assurance:
Assist with testing new functionality, system upgrades, and bug fixes to ensure solutions meet requirements and are user-ready. Participate in UAT and contribute to release readiness efforts. - User Training & Communication:
Support user enablement by creating training content, hosting sessions, and communicating system updates. Help promote adoption of system features and reinforce best practices. - Reporting & Insights:
Build or support the creation of reports and dashboards that provide visibility into system usage, adoption, and performance. Help business teams leverage data to improve operations. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Customer Experience, IT, and other stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and business insight. - Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Stay informed of new platform capabilities, best practices, and business needs to help identify opportunities for improvement and innovation across supported systems.
Qualifications:
Vega is seeking a Senior Business Analyst Consultant with Salesforce experience that will have responsibility for eliciting business needs, specifying user stories/use cases, modeling processes, evaluating system impacts, performing detailed analysis, prioritizing business requests, and partnering with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of new client applications.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience capturing, and documenting B2B customer centric requirements, with a focus on minimizing customer pain points, and providing visibility into operational data.
Eliciting, documenting, and mapping Salesforce data to/from 3rd party and custom systems (SAP, Data Lake, etc.)
Perform analysis and design using various methods, including: business requirements, functional specifications, user stories/acceptance criteria, use cases, swim lanes, and process flows, swim lane diagrams, AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams, and mock-ups/wireframes.
Understanding of best practices with Digital User Interface designs and User Experience.
Experience with visually modeling requirements using tools.
Experience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology.
Experience in Jira.
Experience with documenting requirements for integrations between enterprise systems.
Strong experience in business process design and workflow analysis.
Strong knowledge and execution of IT Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Knowledge of Information Security Practices.
Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies & Tools.
Experience in working with multiple data sources and ERPs
Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is a plus.
Google Suite and Lucid Charts knowledge is a plus.
Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud is a plus. LEVEL BASED COMPETENCIES
