Senior/Lead Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is collaborating with a growing Security Software Firm in search of a Senior/Lead Network Engineer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in managing a multisite Cisco network infrastructure. You will also lead a small team. This full-time, direct-hire position entails a hybrid on-site schedule, with 3 days per week spent near Maplewood, NJ.

The Senior Network Engineer will oversee various technical aspects, focusing on:
* Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
* Fortinet firewalls and SD-WAN
* Internet and WAN circuit topology and design
* High availability network design and implementations
* Cloud migration

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support, install, and enhance existing network infrastructure
* Collaborate with business stakeholders for requirements gathering
* Design and architect network solutions
* Lead a small team of engineers
* Research new technologies and methodologies
* Develop specifications, research vendors, estimate costs, and assist in IoT utilization
* Act as an escalation point for IT team members
* Collaborate with 3rd party providers for outage resolutions
* Address business-critical emergencies promptly
* Develop action plans, communicate with stakeholders, and manage performance reporting
* Conduct compliance audits and devise network lifecycle plans
* Manage vendor negotiations and maintain network documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE) preferred
* 8+ years of IT industry experience in multisite network infrastructure
* Familiarity with ITIL/SDLC concepts

Technical Expertise:
* Fortinet and Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls, Nexus, Catalyst switches, ISR routers
* Kemp load balancers, Content Filtering
* Various network protocols and configurations
* Network monitoring tools like Nagios, PRTG, NetFlow, SNMP
* Troubleshooting tools and techniques
* Understanding of carrier transport technologies and telecommunications

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
