Job Title: Network Implementation Technician
Location: Bronx, NY (5X per week 37.5 hours/week)
Duration: 3 Month Contract
Pay Range: $25-32/hr
Position Summary:
The Implementation Technician supports the Implementation Manager in executing technology deployments across various sites. This role involves conducting site surveys, installing and configuring equipment, reviewing designs, supervising vendors, and ensuring quality standards are met. The Implementation Technician plays a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to post-implementation support, and ensures all work aligns with industry and Emerging Health IT standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT implementations, including hardware installation and configuration.
- Conduct site surveys and pre-installation design reviews.
- Document implementation processes and maintain accurate records.
- Supervise third-party vendors as needed during installations.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure successful turnover to the Network Control Center (NCC).
- Provide post go-live support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Work on multiple concurrent projects, serving as the primary field contact.
- Support data center operations, including server and switch activation.
- Maintain compliance with IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; technical trade school certification acceptable.
- A+ Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience.
- Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), routers, and switches.
- Familiarity with cabling standards (Cat5, multimode fiber).
- Proficient in desktop hardware configuration and operating systems (Windows 2000/XP).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation tools (Visio, Excel).
- Experience with server upgrades, decommissioning, and installation (including Blade technology).
- Knowledge of asset management, equipment tracking, and inventory control.
- Working knowledge of Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
