Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Reston, VA or Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Position Type: 12+ months Contract

Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Infrastructure Engineers to join a critical project team focused on automating cloud infrastructure provisioning at scale. This role involves building and maintaining Terraform Enterprise modules and enforcing infrastructure governance through Sentinel policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AWS infrastructure provisioning using Terraform Enterprise (TFE).
  • Publish and manage modules in the Private Module Registry (PMR).
  • Develop Sentinel policies to enforce governance, compliance, and security standards.
  • Collaborate with application teams to support adoption of modules and enforce policy compliance.
  • Ensure infrastructure-as-code best practices, code reusability, and standardization across teams.
  • Work with AWS-native services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, etc.) as required by FNMA environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE) not the community version.
  • Experience building Terraform modules in a Private Module Registry.
  • Proficiency in writing and managing Sentinel policies.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services infrastructure build, provisioning, and orchestration.
  • 5+ years of relevant infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
  • Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in either Reston, VA or Plano, TX.

Nice to Have:
  • Terraform or AWS certifications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code governance at scale.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
