Job Title: Axway Engineer

Location: Fort Mill, SC (100% Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Axway Engineer for a full-time onsite role based in Fort Mill, SC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MFT (Managed File Transfer) technologies and Axway platform administration, with a focus on system setup, configuration, maintenance, and support in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage secure, reliable B2B and MFT integrations using Axway solutions (e.g., SecureTransport, B2Bi, API Gateway).

  • Handle partner onboarding and support various communication protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, OFTP2).

  • Perform system administration tasks including software installation, patching, and upgrades.

  • Build and configure new environments as needed to support business growth and continuity.

  • Support middleware environments and manage application configurations and deployments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly to ensure high availability and performance.

  • Work closely with infrastructure, security, and development teams to deliver scalable integration solutions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and standard operating procedures for all configurations and support activities.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices.

Skills Required:

  • Strong MFT (Managed File Transfer) technology experience.

  • Expertise in Axway administration (SecureTransport, B2Bi, API Gateway, etc.).

  • Proficient in software installation, configuration, and patching.

  • Experience in new environment builds for enterprise systems.

  • Skilled in supporting application configurations and deployments.

  • Proficient in middleware environment support and troubleshooting.

  • Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation and routine tasks.

  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux and Windows) and networking fundamentals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years focused on Axway solutions.

  • Strong understanding of file transfer protocols and enterprise integration best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Axway product certifications.

  • Experience with enterprise scheduling and monitoring tools.

  • Familiarity with EDI formats (X12, EDIFACT) and data transformation tools.

  • Exposure to cloud integration or hybrid MFT deployments.
