Job Details

Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support large-scale migration and operations on a large, high-profile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA's Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA's internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

The will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems. Duties will include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of products prior to customer delivery.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
  • Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups.
  • Guides and directs lower level personnel on the set-up and performance of tests.
  • Acts as liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.
  • Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.
  • Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability program
  • Design and develop test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of systems. Participate in the design and building of test scenarios.
  • Write test procedures and protocols to assess system reliability and evaluate the ability of systems to meet performance standards and specifications.
  • Gather test data and evaluate test results to conclude if system designs and architecture meet specifications and performance expectations.
  • Develop test simulations to evaluate how systems react under different conditions and analyze system failure to assess the integrity and reliability of system performance.
  • Define debug protocols for test hardware and software.
  • Analyze test cases and scenarios and report results.
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade system performance.
  • Provide technical advice to other organizations and leadership.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or engineering discipline & 8+ Years' relevant experience.
  • 4 years functional experience requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development and execution testing
  • Understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems
  • Experience with effectively detecting, tracking, reporting, and communicating test defects.
  • Experience with the life cycle of software in military simulation systems.
  • Familiar with agile development methodologies and test-driven development.
  • Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite, to include JIRA and Confluence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Current IAT Level II or higher Certification such as Security
  • Possess a current Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Functional experience with test automation, creating automated test cases and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, and execution testing.
