Job Description:

Parsons is currently seeking a DevSecOps Factory Lead. The DevSecOps Factory Lead owns and matures the technical infrastructure, processes and procedures for a multi-stakeholder DevSecOps environment. This position will lead a team of software, DevSecOps and cloud engineers in the construction and refinement of a DevSecOps Factory, and work closely with external users of the Factory, to ensure their smooth transition into and regular use of it.

This position is remote with occasional on-site requirements. Candidates should be within a 2-hour driving distance of the Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Requirements:
  • A desire to lead a team that will build, mature, and operate a world-class DevSecOps Factory that will operate at Enterprise-scale.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Gitlab, backed by proven experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of DevSecOps principles, and a more-than-solid understanding of how those principles can enable DevSecOps Factory capabilities at Enterprise scale.
  • Proven experience / effectiveness in leading highly-skilled technical teams in a hybrid-work environment to include consistent keeping of regular working hours (0900 - 1700 EST).
  • Proven experience successfully managing projects that meet and exceed performance goals (schedule / cost / capability)
  • Ability to further-develop positive and enduring relationships with our customers, subcontractors, and internal team.
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a DoD setting
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with modern software architecture approaches (containerization, orchestration, MOSA, Event-Driven, API Gateway management, etc...)
  • Must be "Continuous Improvement" minded (e.g. continuing to make the software Factory as performant as it can be and making plans for that to happen).
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps metrics, and how to report them
  • Strong knowledge of / experience with pursuing security accreditations
  • Adequate knowledge of cloud service provider technologies (e.g. AWS Gov Cloud)
  • Be able to provide expert inputs into process and procedure development, as well as training
  • Strong communication skills:
    • Verbal (can professionally present / interact with different kinds of audiences - from small team interactions to executive level briefings)
    • Written (can quickly produce high-quality documentation artifacts, to include solid briefing materials)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree and typically 15-20+ years of related professional experience.

Salary Range: $144,800.00 - $260,600.00
