Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer subject matter expert and Java Developer to help lead the migration of large, complex Java applications from on-premises to the cloud. This exceptional position will be a key member of an emerging technologies lab which will support many product teams as they seek to migrate, modernize, automate, and innovate their applications. The ideal candidate will have strong background and experience in AWS, Azure, and Google cloud, in migrating applications to the cloud, as well as having hands-on experience as a senior java developer.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain an innovation lab for the ideation, design, and engineering of cloud native product migration, modernization, and innovation.
Develop end-to-end plans for cloud migrations that are compliant with cybersecurity policies (FedRAMP, HIPAA, ETC.)
Develop pilots, prototypes, and proof of concept solutions to validate cloud modernization and innovation plans.
Support cybersecurity testing and Authorization To Operate certifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
Support total experience initiatives including customer experience, user experience and human centered design through focus groups, metrics, wireframes, mockups, and information architecture development.
Guide the migration of large complex Java applications from on-premises to AWS cloud
Hands on experience with IaC and scripting to automate DevSecOps pipelines and setting up monitoring and logging
S upport Agile product teams in cloud migrations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in cloud native development or similar role.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance based on USPTO regulations
Candidates must have lived in the United States for the last 2 years
Proven track record of delivering cloud migration and impactful solutions in a cloud native environment.
Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Glacier, Terraforms, API Gateway, CloudSearch, Elastic Load Balancing , etc.)
Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)
Understanding of cloud security, compliance, governance, policies, frameworks, and tools
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Technology Stack & Skills Requirements:
AWS, Azure, Google
CloudSearch, Elastic Load Balancing , etc.)
Expertise in Java, SpringBoot, Hibernate, JPA, and related frameworks
Experience with containerization (Docker) and serverless architectures and AI/ML environments
Experience with Cloud data management tools
Knowledge of DevOps tools (GitLab Runner)
Familiarity with cloud-based CI/CD pipelines
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack)
Knowledge of data encryption and security approaches
Desired Qualifications:
AWS, Azure, Google certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer)
Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning systems
Proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch.
