Job Title: UI Lead
Location: Remote (Canada)
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary:

We re seeking a seasoned and passionate UI Lead with deep expertise in React.js, TypeScript, ECMAScript 2023, and modern UI architecture. You ll lead the design and development of secure, high-performance, and accessible web applications collaborating across UX, product, and engineering teams to deliver intuitive and scalable front-end experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop modern, scalable UI components using js and associated libraries
  • Lead implementation of progressive web applications (PWAs) with strong attention to performance and accessibility
  • Guide front-end testing strategy, ensuring robust unit and Cypress E2E test coverage
  • Collaborate with UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of creative designs
  • Translate business and product requirements into modular, reusable UI solutions
  • Work closely with back-end teams to integrate APIs and microservices
  • Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and version control practices
  • Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and contribute to the overall agile development lifecycle
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in front-end development


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 9+ years of total experience, with 7+ years in UI development
  • Advanced expertise in js, TypeScript, and ECMAScript 2023
  • Experience with build tools, module bundlers, and state management frameworks
  • Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization
  • Strong command of UI test strategy and frameworks (e.g., Cypress)
  • Familiarity with AWS, modern CI/CD pipelines, and SCM systems
  • Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and microservices environments
  • Proven ability to communicate across product, UX, and engineering teams
