RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst - Data Services (Hybrid: 10% Onsite/90% Remote) in Phoenix, AZ (Local candidates preferred). The duration of this role is approximately 1 year. This role is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our Data Services team. In this role, you will work closely with the Deputy CIO of the PMO, IT teams, and department stakeholders to document business requirements and help develop functional solutions for defined projects. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for process improvement, supporting technology adoption, and aligning IT solutions with organizational goals.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a strong grasp of business analysis and project coordination, and is passionate about using data and technology to drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in weekly scrum meetings with the Data Services leadership team
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements
* Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
* Research and evaluate new IT systems and technologies for potential implementation
* Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements
* Support the development and deployment of technical solutions
* Create and present reports to executive leadership and stakeholders
* Maintain accurate documentation of project requirements, processes, and outcomes
* Assist in training and operational procedure development to enhance productivity
* Ensure business requirements are integrated into project planning and execution
* Use data analysis tools to support decision-making and solution design
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field
* 1-3 years of experience in business analysis and project coordination
* Strong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Sensei IQ, and Microsoft Project
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
* Ability to manage documentation and use project management tools
* Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
* Technical knowledge to support hardware/software upgrades and implementations
Preferred:
* Experience working in technical or operational project environments
* Proficiency in data analytics, business intelligence, and statistical analysis
* Familiarity with business process documentation and improvement methodologies
* Ability to manage shifting priorities with professionalism and efficiency
* Team-first mindset and collaborative approach
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position with approximately 10% onsite work for ad hoc meetings and 90% remote work. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of downtown Phoenix, AZ.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
