JOB TITLE: Proposal Engineer
JOB LOCATION: Scottsdale, AZ
WAGE RANGE*: 55hr to 61hr

Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Proposal Engineer to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. As a Proposal Engineer for Space Force MUOS, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system. We provide warfighters with a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with defense and aerospace industry standards and practices.
- Knowledge of proposal development processes and best practices (e.g., Shipley, APMP).
- Familiarity with government contracts and acquisition processes.
- PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
