Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an External Communications Consultant for a consulting assignment with one of our premier clients in Chicago, IL.

The External Communications Specialist consultant is responsible for copyediting and delivering forward-looking, online technical and operational information intended to prepare customers for technology changes and new technology solutions for Client's electronic trading venues and solutions. This includes content creation and delivery for Customer Notice emails, and other customer-facing collateral. This role advocates for upholding external email communication and client brand standards.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Support the external Customer Notice process and alignment of content from multiple stakeholders, including copyediting and organizing weekly final review approvals. Ensure timely and accurate execution and dissemination is harmonized among Content Delivery (Communication) team members.
  • Support content on client site including PDF updates, file uploads; update digital content for accuracy and brand standards; coordinate content with internal stakeholders and co-owners.
  • Execute clear, concise, useful copy.
  • Collaborate with tool support teams to ensure accountability and timeliness for all team requests/tickets (i.e. contact list uploads, new templates, digital assets, etc).

Skills and Software Requirements:
  • 3+ years relevant experience sending external communication via an email automation tool (SalesForce/Marketing Cloud, XMatters, or other modern mass email distribution tools) required.
  • Bachelors Degree: English, Communications, Technical Editing or Technical Communication, Journalism, Marketing or similar required.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience editing technical customer-facing copy.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and maintain content accuracy under deadlines
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and other web-based tools such as AEM, Google Workspace, website design and basic HTML required.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence preferred.
