Job Details
Hands-on management of Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) environments, including assessing, mapping, and documenting the current infrastructure, participating in day-to-day operations, and supporting knowledge transfer to the internal team. The role includes troubleshooting, updating documentation, and acting as an in-house resource during the transition of data center management.
Technical Scope:
- Manage and support a virtual server environment running on OLVM/KVM, including tasks such as performance troubleshooting, disaster recovery, high availability, network configuration, and migrations (like-for-like, on-prem to on-prem, and eventually to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Experience Required: 7 10 years of relevant experience with OLVM, strong hands-on skills, and the ability to perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting and migrations.
- Familiarity with VMware concepts is beneficial for context. Additional Expectations:
- Participate in client-facing activities as an extension of the internal team, support ticket resolution, and facilitate internal training and knowledge propagation.
