Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Backend (Python) Developer to join the Datahub team at Persistent Systems. The team is responsible for aggregating claims data and forecasting contract pricing up to three years in advance. The platform is built in Databricks and serves as a central data repository supporting multiple teams across the organization. This is a high-visibility, business-facing role requiring strong technical expertise and healthcare domain knowledge.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Backend (Python) Developer to join the Datahub team at Persistent Systems. The team is responsible for aggregating claims data and forecasting contract pricing up to three years in advance. The platform is built in Databricks and serves as a central data repository supporting multiple teams across the organization. This is a high-visibility, business-facing role requiring strong technical expertise and healthcare domain knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend components using Python.
- Work on data aggregation, processing, and forecasting pipelines within Databricks.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for data access and integration.
- Implement microservices architecture for scalable backend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-facing deliverables.
- Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and efficiency.
- Deploy and maintain solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Ensure compliance and data security within healthcare data environments.
- Strong experience in Python backend development.
- Expertise with Databricks and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with API and Microservices design.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure preferred; Snowflake or Google Cloud Platform acceptable).
- Solid understanding of healthcare domain and claims data workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data forecasting models.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
