Remote AWS Production Support Engineer

A managed service provider is looking for an AWS Production Support Engineer to add to their growing team. This role will involve providing essential support and ensuring the seamless operation of AWS cloud native applications primarily developed in Java. As a member of the team, you will be working with a diverse range of technologies including AWS, RedHat Linux, WebSphere, Datadog, and various AWS services. This candidate can work fully remotely from anywhere in the US.

Contract Duration: 12 months
Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience administering AWS environments, including root access and server management.
• Proficiency with RedHat Enterprise Linux
• Experience working with middleware technologies like WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic, etc.
• Solid understanding of AWS security services and best practices.
• Experience working with monitoring tools like Datadog or similar.
• Previous experience supporting Java-based applications in a production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
