As a Sr Software Engineer at Microsoft, you'll be part of a team of world-class engineers leveraging cutting-edge Microsoft Cloud and AI technologies to deliver modern, scalable, and intelligent systems that drive the Microsoft business forward.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and operate scalable cloud-based data driven, pipeline processing & input modeling solutions using modern data platforms and Cloud services.
- Well versed in Sql skills, data modeling, data engineering, best practices and most importantly a self-learner.
- Strong foundation of Data Structures, algorithms and Programming capabilities that can be applied in any tech stack thereby enabling high quality delivery.
- Independent enough to lead business engagement calls with business partners, be able to translate business tasks into technical tasks, comfortable in working through ambiguities thereby responsible for driving clarity and smooth delivery of multiple Tenants in parallel.
- Integrate AI capabilities such as Azure OpenAI and ML models to enhance system intelligence and user productivity.
- Serve as a technical mentor and thought leader for a group of engineers, providing guidance, support, and regular feedback to accelerate their growth and technical development.
- Apply engineering best practices as you design and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Own your solution end-to-end through design, implementation, and operations.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging and alerting for proactive issue detection. Leverage telemetry and usage analytics to understand customer behavior and inform product decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across stakeholders, product managers, and other engineers to deliver integrated, customer-focused experiences.
- Contribute to the evolution of Microsoft's data platforms through technical feedback and innovation.
- Championing a culture of diversity, inclusion, customer obsession, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Foundation in Sql, Data Structures and Object Oriented Programming Skills.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience. Exposure to Microsoft Sql, Azure or other cloud platforms ( AWS).
- Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals, tools (like Azure ML, OpenAI), or data analytics workflows.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices.
- Curiosity, collaboration mindset, and a passion for solving real-world customer problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence-coaching, mentoring, and empowering junior team members without direct reporting lines.
