Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SDLC Methodology Lead for a 6-month, fully remote contract. This strategic, process-oriented role will define, implement, govern, and continuously improve our client's software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies. The successful candidate will build, roll out, and refine playbooks for the PMO and Delivery teams, integrating Agile SAFe best practices with existing operational processes to create comprehensive manuals for IT organization operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Management:
- Define, implement, and maintain SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) across all projects.
- Ensure ongoing alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Governance:
- Develop and maintain SDLC documentation, including requirements, design, testing, and deployment artifacts.
- Conduct process audits and reviews to verify adherence to adopted SDLC frameworks.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of each SDLC phase.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and enforce quality gates and checkpoints at every stage of the SDLC.
- Identify process gaps and actively recommend and implement improvement strategies.
- Training & Support:
- Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support on SDLC best practices to various teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all SDLC-related questions and issues.
- Playbook Development & Implementation:
- Strategically build, implement, and own the playbooks and ways of working across the organization.
- Adjust and optimize playbooks based on feedback and post-implementation review.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading the definition, implementation, and governance of SDLC methodologies in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to create and refine process playbooks and operational manuals for IT organizations.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile SAFe, Waterfall, and Hybrid SDLC models.
- Experience ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards across software projects.
- Excellent collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with PMO, Delivery, development, QA, and stakeholder teams.
- Proficiency in using Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) for SDLC management.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills for playbook and documentation creation.
- Skilled in conducting audits and reviews of process adherence and quality assurance practices.
- Experience training teams and acting as a subject matter expert in SDLC best practices.
- Strategic, process-driven thinker with excellent communication and organizational skills.
